A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and talented Merchandiser to join our growing Sportswear business based in Cheadle Hulme.

THE ROLE

The role would be ideal for someone highly numerate with a strong analytical skillset, demonstrable problem solving and creative thinking abilities as well as strong communication skills.

The successful candidate will maximise commercial opportunities through the effective management of inventory, driving sales through improved availability and forecasting, reducing mark down and maximising profit.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Merchandiser will:

  • Plan, control and manage stock levels of our stock range as well as key customers stock holdings globally to meet the stock requirements of the business while maximising sales
  • Be responsible for placement of all stock purchases, reorders, critical path management for these orders and updating the sales team with all relevant information
  • Analyse customer sales performance against estimates on behalf of the team and suggestcorrective action where required
  • Proactively resolve issues with internal stakeholders (warehousing, sales)
  • Forecast sales using modern analysis techniques and creative thinking
  • Create, amend and critically appraise internal and external reports
  • Work closely with sales personnel to maintain stock levels, and cover estimates
  • Advise customer services of lead time changes and resolve any customer complaints
  • Provide extra support to our Warehouse Manager helping maintain stock levels, assist with Stock Take, Stock accuracy, Investigation for all stock discrepancies, and producing inventory management reports identifying key issues and resolving them.

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate will have:

  • Have a clear direction and understanding of merchandising and Ecommerce
  • Merchandising: 3 years (Required)
  • Experience in an import, warehousing, or relevant wholesale environment
  • Advanced Excel knowledge is important – you’ll love working with spreadsheets and can create VLOOKUP’s and Pivot tables, creating reports from scratch.
  • Understand critical path and be an expert in stock planning.
  • Strong team-player and communicator.
  • Manage inventory, forecast and drive sales.
  • Analytically minded with good common sense

PRODUCT DEVELOPER

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Junior Product Developer to join our growing Sportswear business based in Cheadle Hulme.

THE ROLE

The Product Developer will work in collaboration with the Designer on every step of the product development process, ensuring technical standards are implemented and maintained across all product categories.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Working closely with Design and the Sales team to ensure clear and accurate information is sent out to suppliers
  • Following the full development process working with suppliers and customers in the Far East, India, Turkey and the UK to ensure product is correct
  • Working with the Design team to support material sourcing/development and sampling.
  • Checking lab dip, strike offs, fabrics and trims.
  • Managing the sample process, regularly chasing on deliveries etc
  • Measuring, checking all fits and PP samples and sending clear comments to suppliers
  • Liaising with customers for approvals by email or approval systems.
  • Organising samples and general office duties
  • Updating internal systems & managing club approval systems

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

The Product Developer will have some previous experience in a similar role with excellent communication and organisational skills, be willing to get stuck in and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience of size specifications would be an advantage
  • Excellent computer skills
  • An understanding of garment tech
  • An understanding of critical path
  • The ability to manage individual workload and timelines
  • Confident working on a PLM system
